CAS is currently seeking a Content Capability Analyst. This position will be located in Columbus, OH.

  

The Senior Content Capability Analyst will work with Product Business Analysts to translate business needs for various products/services initiatives into actionable requirements for the agile development teams. They need to understand the content domains used by the product and work closely with the Product Business Analysts, Data Governance members, Data Architects, Scrum Masters, and agile development and QA team members to clarify content needs and resolve requirements discrepancies.

 

Duties:

  • Ensures strong understanding of business needs across domains and applications
  • Closely collaborates with Product Business Analysts and is accountable for development of actionable requirements for one or more agile teams
  • Provides day-to-day guidance to on-/off-team developers and technicians across a broad array of business requirements
  • Clarifies ambiguous or evolving requirements to ensure teams continue to provide maximum business value. 
  • Assists developers and testers in translating and understanding nuances and critical details associated with requirements
  • Document, Analyze and Solve data quality issues as prioritized by stakeholders
  • Document and maintain data flow process diagrams, mapping specifications, dictionaries, and lineage
  • Provide escalation for requirements issues with one or more teams
  • Adheres to the approach to high quality requirements
  • Identifies complex problems, escalates them promptly to appropriate stakeholders, and resolves those of high priority.
  • Collaborates with colleagues/management in a wide variety of roles and organizational levels to facilitate identification, dialogue and alignment of risks, issues, priorities, and actions. Builds alignment of team and sponsor decisions.
  • Influences colleagues, including colleagues in more senior roles, to help plan complex efforts that will deliver on the needs expressed by stakeholders.
  • Mentors less experienced colleagues in similar roles.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree
  • 3+ years of experience as a business analyst
  • 5+ years of experience in scientific information content industry
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent team, collaboration, and facilitation skills
  • Results oriented
  • Ability to work independently
  • Possesses strong work ethics

  • Experienced in requirements gathering
  • Expertise in use of software development tools
  • Understanding of the software development process
  • Demonstrated success in Agile teams
