CAS is currently seeking a Director Sales Strategy & Planning. This position will be located in our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.
Position Summary
The Director of Sales Strategy and Planning is responsible for the enterprise sales strategy, leading the implementation and execution of all operational aspects of this strategy through a rigorous planning process. This position and team will have outstanding strategic and analytical capabilities with the ability to provide insights within and outside of this unit. The unit will excel in commercial planning, cross functional collaboration, and lead with team first. This position will advise senior management on all matters involving sales strategy, go to market, sales operations, planning and path to execution.
Position Accountabilities
- Sets and leads the commercial strategy for the CAS enterprise.
- Responsible for market segment strategy and customer penetration prioritization
- People leader for the Sales Strategy and Sales Operations teams
- Develop and implement channel partner strategy.
- Responsible for creating annual sales plans and associated goaling.
- Identifies revenue growth opportunities through size and prioritization modeling and other analytical models such as churn and cross sell value opportunities.
- Informs strategy by partnering with Marketing on market research and competitive intelligence.
- Provides voice of Sales feedback on products, services, and external influencers
- Works cross functionally within Sales and Marketing and key stakeholders across the enterprise such as Product, Finance, Technology, Customer Experience, etc.
- Plans and ensures staff development in areas including product and services knowledge, sales, and customer service trends.
- Ensures optimal employee experience through selection, training, development, and performance management of staff to meet departmental goals and objectives.
- Other duties as required.
Minimum Education/Experience/Technological Knowledge
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business related fields, accounting, finance or other related disciplines, Advanced degree preferred.
- 10 or more years of sales or business operations management, with 5 years of leadership or management experience
- 5 or more years of experience working in a global capacity across multiple geographies and cultures.
- Proven ability to lead large projects and work in intra-department environments.
- Experience in creating processes that ensure a consistent experience and result.
- Experience with CRM, ERP, and other business operations systems; Salesforce.com and SAP preferred.
- Effective communication, networking, and interpersonal skills with executives to drive alignment on common objectives.
- The position will involve a high degree of international sales revenue operational excellence. The role is suited to a confident and organized professional who has worked in a similar role for an international company.
