CAS is currently seeking an Editor/Copywriter.  This position will be located in our Columbus, OH headquarters.

 

We’re seeking someone to help the CAS marketing team create laser-focused narratives to promote the CAS brand and tell that inspiring story that global scientific community.

At the core, a qualified candidate needs to be obsessed with details like grammar, punctuation, spelling, and the message consistency that is crucial in today’s B2B world. Building on that, a candidate should demonstrate marketing skills to create assets that get noticed, resonate with the target audience, and evoke a response that benefits the reader and CAS. Finally, a candidate needs to have a passion for delivering quality work under pressure and encouraging peers and partners to be forward-thinking, building upon the success and learnings of past efforts.

 

The ideal candidate for this job…

  • Is not new to marketing, can work well from a solid brief, and likely have done some B2B marketing in the past.
  • Has a mastery of basic design principles including layout, visual hierarchy and works well within an established design framework and corporate standard.
  • Likes to work with people. The people of CAS are its greatest asset.
  • Has a critical mind, realizes the gift of solid feedback is more than a cliché, and is always seeking ways to improve upon yesterday.
  • Is comfortable with occasional ambiguity and not afraid to ask questions.

 

Job Duties:

  • Work with internal stakeholders to design and develop consumer-focused campaign materials to elevate the CAS brand and support the business expansion.
  • Provide editorial oversight on CAS marketing materials with a focus on solid grammar, adherence to the brand style guide, and message consistency  
  • Write clear, engaging, content to help achieve the desired outcomes including lead generation, lead nurturing, user engagement, against defined marketing personas. 
  • Collaborate with other to produce a wide range of print and digital marketing collateral including email, brochures, press releases, blogs, webpage copy, social media, digital ads, PowerPoint presentations.
  • Manage the translation process of marketing assets via third party translation agencies to better resonate with our growing global audience.

 

Minimum Education/Experience/Technological Knowledge

  • BS/BA in marketing, English, Communication, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a marketing copywriter or content manager
  • Knowledge of digital content strategy and creation including SEO and content marketing principles
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Experience thriving in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Executed integrated marketing campaigns surrounding the target audience with opportunities to engage and learn more about a particular offer
  • Experience editing websites/using a CMS like Drupal or Hubspot
  • Delivering results in the digital space, understanding responsive design, user experience, search engine optimization, and email deliverability.
