CAS is currently seeking a Global Events Manager. This position will be located in our Columbus, OH headquarters.

 

Position Summary

The CAS Global Events Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and successfully executing participation across in-person, virtual and hybrid events for CAS on an international scale. This position has accountability for developing an annual global event plan aligned to strategic brand elevation and organizational growth goals. The incumbent will become well versed in CAS brand and solutions messaging, identifying new opportunities for impactful customer engagement, exhibitions, and sponsorships that promote CAS scientific information solutions worldwide.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and leads execution of the annual CAS global event plan for all customer facing in-person, virtual and hybrid events (e.g., tradeshows, receptions, sponsorships, industry engagements, etc.) to meet strategic goals.
  • Engages Sales and Marketing to understand regional goals and recommend events that best support growth.
  • Leads all pre- and post-event planning including engagement across functional areas and with appropriate vendors to ensure brand alignment and maximize our ROI.
  • Convenes project teams for all public facing activations, aligning event engagement drivers, activations, timelines, and post-event metrics and reporting to measure value and inform future planning.
  • Facilitates meetings that drive project plans, timelines and measurable outcomes.
  • Serves as internal CAS marketing liaison for recruiting and community events, maintaining focus on brand alignment and engagement.
  • Collaborates across ACS on opportunities for co-exhibiting where appropriate. Serves as CAS representative for event-based project teams across shared events.
  • Evaluates and manages vendor relationships. Creates and maintains an annual budget, ROI assessments and administers all contracts and expenses for the program, including detailed tracking and reporting of costs.
  • Stays abreast of industry trends and recommends innovative approaches that keep CAS on the forefront of activations.  Proactively identifies risks and potential issues and suggests actionable solutions.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years of global tradeshow and event planning experience within a marketing organization
  • Strategic thinker with strong program management capabilities
  • Self-motivated influencer with strong communications skills and the ability to inspire others
  • Proven analytical skills to drive data-informed, results-based outcomes
  • Enthusiastic contributor with ability to rally self and teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience managing vendors and suppliers, contracts, and detailed budgets and reporting
  • Ability to travel periodically in support of the program
  • Previous B2B events coordination experience preferred
  • Events or industry certifications preferred
  • Experience with MS Office applications and Smartsheet preferred
