CAS is currently seeking a Senior Brand Strategist. This position will be located in our Columbus, OH headquarters.


Position Summary

As a Sr. Brand Strategist at CAS, you will be responsible for defining the brand foundation and activation strategy that bring the CAS organization and capabilities to life in the market and drive our growth. This role will be key to the success of CAS’s strategic plan as we seek to increase awareness in growth segments, expand brand perceptions to encompass newer solutions and capabilities, and strengthen market understanding of our core value proposition. Through development of thoughtful and consistent brand standards, processes, positioning, and campaigns, this role will provide the common language that unites all of CAS market activities to maximize impact. Equal parts aspirational storyteller, detail-oriented practitioner, and keen business strategist, you must be able to collaborate with leaders across the organization and with our external agency partners, inspiring them with the power of our brand while driving consistent alignment of key branding decisions to our strategy, enabling consistent application, and ensuring a positive ROI on our brand investments.  


Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops, and evolves as needed, all key elements of CAS integrated brand strategy including brand story, visual identity, voice, tone, naming architecture, messaging, and positioning
  • Defines and manages annual brand marketing plan and budget proposal aligned to organizational strategy and relevant marketing metric targets
  • Manages the development, deployment and maintenance of CAS brand guidelines and internal enablement resources
  • Partners with our Analytics and Insights team to support execution of annual brand pulse research and analysis and communication of the results
  • Develops and maintains brand marketing collateral and content (brochures, flyers, pitch decks, web pages, etc.) that effectively communicate the enterprise value proposition of CAS as well as key enterprise assets and capabilities to prospects and customers
  • Counsels and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to achieve alignment of messaging, positioning, naming, visual components for all key initiatives to brand strategy



  • Must have a BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communication, Business, or a scientific discipline (chemistry, biology, life sciences, physics, etc.) or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7+ years’ experience developing and implementing brand strategy, preferably for a commercial B2B organization with a technical or scientific solutions portfolio
  • Demonstrates experience working within an established brand identity system including developing positioning across different levels of the product portfolio
  • Ability to effectively influence others by articulating clear recommendations backed by data and well-supported reasoning aligned to defined organizational strategies
  • Deep understanding of brand activation through owned, earned, and paid marketing channels including website, digital advertising, events, social media, collateral, etc.
  • Strong communications skills including writing, editing, and presentation development and delivery  
  • Natural collaborator with well-developed interpersonal skills enabling you to engage effectively across functions and projects, as well as at the executive level, and contribute to positive organizational culture



  • Marketing or branding experience in a global business
  • Knowledge of one or more of CAS target market/customer segments including: pharmaceutical, chemical, life sciences, intellectual property, energy, data science, etc.
