Position Summary

The Finance Technology Manager occupies a critical position within the ACS Information Technology, ensuring that the company's finance-related systems effectively meet the needs of the organization and its staff. They lead the rollout of finance technology procedures, processes, and tools that are widely used throughout. This pivotal role ensures that the finance technology methodologies adopted are efficient and in harmony with the company's vision and objectives.

 

As a key figure in the team, the Finance Technology Manager is charged with numerous responsibilities, including overseeing and reporting on the development of finance technologies, while remaining proactive in identifying and addressing any potential challenges or issues that might arise during their implementation.

 

Answering directly to the Director of Enterprise Services, the Finance Technology Manager will oversee a team consisting of Finance Technology Architects, Analysts and Specialists.  As a leader, they are tasked with cultivating a united and dynamic team, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.

 

Work design:  Leads a crucial functional area within the Enterprise Services and Finance Technology department. Guarantees cohesive operation of the area with other areas inside and outside of the department, aligning them with the broader objectives of the Washington IT division and the ACS. Plays a vital role in fostering synergy across the organization in realms of specialized knowledge.

 

 

 

Profile

The Finance Technology Manager occupies a significant position at the intersection of technology and finance, serving as a linchpin between IT and the CFO's division. Reporting to the Enterprise Services, this role ensures global adherence to financial policies, especially within the technology sector. By working closely with the CFO division and collaborating extensively with Finance departments, the Finance Technology Manager plays a crucial role in integrating technology solutions with financial operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyzes financial data within the finance technology sector, providing direction, making recommendations, and ensuring alignment with the company's strategic financial objectives.
  • Collaborates intensively with the CFO division and finance departments to optimize finance technology solutions and strategies.
  • Develops, directs, coordinates, and manages various Finance IT projects from inception to completion.
  • Ensure that the business requirements are captured accurately before a solution is developed and/or implemented.
  • Leads Finance IT program management including technical, schedule, cost, quality, and resource management.
  • Manages and oversees finance technology, ensuring alignment with broader financial goals.
  • Facilitates the integration of technological solutions with existing financial systems and processes.
  • Continuously assesses and refines finance technology strategies in consultation with financial stakeholders.
  • Coordinates internal and vendor resources for the smooth execution of projects.
  • Ensures all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and budget.
  • Researches and stays abreast of financial trends, technologies, and regulations to ensure best practices within finance technology.
  • Presents updates, overviews, and strategies related to finance technology to the CFO, finance teams, and other key stakeholders.
  • Leads cross-functional teams, ensuring the finance technology strategies and solutions support both immediate and long-term financial objectives.
  • Offers expert financial modeling and analysis specifically tailored for finance technology projects and initiatives.

Experience

  • Over six years of experience in finance technology or a related field, with significant experience collaborating with CFO divisions and finance departments.

 

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, IT, finance, or a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.

Division

Position Summary

This position will be primarily based in the Washington D.C. office. ACS employees work a hybrid work schedule, consisting of working onsite, three days per week. ACS employees are in the office on Tuesday and Wednesday with the third in-office day scheduled in consultation with the manager. While always welcome to work in the office, employees may work the other two days of the week from a location of their choice. New employees are immediately eligible for this hybrid work arrangement. ACS offers relocation assistance, if applicable.
