Position Summary
This position sits within the registration team in the Department of Meetings and Exposition Services, reporting directly to the manager of that unit. The incumbent will serve as administrator of ACS’ meeting registration platforms for ACS Spring/Fall, Regional, Specialty, and other events.
Position Accountabilities
- Provide oversight and administration for meeting attendee registration serving as liaison to registration platform vendor and internal departments, ensuring all registration setup and implementation is completed according to established schedule for over 15,000 attendees per large meeting
- Establish and confirm registration timeline milestones in coordination with other internal stakeholders within the established platform
- Build/manage web-based registration events in registration platforms including but not limited to Cvent and CDS (or other customized registration systems) to support global ACS program events. Includes:
- Full end to end testing of registration websites (various rounds) including all paths, customer types, and pricing
- Tracking all changes for testing and modifications
- Integrations are working properly with housing, membership database, etc.
- Manage registration including:
- Provide multi-channel customer support for internal and external customers and data entry

- monitoring and ensuring accuracy of all registration and financial data.
- managing automated communications
- creating conference badges, invoicing, receipts, and necessary communication.
- processing payments, refunds, cancellations, and substitutions and following up with outstanding payments.
- coordinating closing the registration and revenue databases following the close of meetings
- Review website content for registration
- Provide on-site oversight of ACS Meeting registration operations
- Ordering all registration materials and supplies
- Registration and satellite registration set up
- Coordinating schedules and training temps and registration support staff
- Create and provide registration reporting – historical, YOY/Weekly comparisons, financial, etc. as required
- Must be available to travel a minimum of 20%.

Required Experience
Requires BA/BS degree or equivalent. Minimum of 3 or more years of relevant registration experience to include customized registration buildouts and implementation.
This position will be primarily based in the Washington D.C. office. ACS employees work a hybrid work schedule, consisting of working onsite, three days per week. ACS employees are in the office on Tuesday and Wednesday with the third in-office day scheduled in consultation with the manager. While always welcome to work in the office, employees may work the other two days of the week from a location of their choice. New employees are immediately eligible for this hybrid work arrangement. ACS offers relocation assistance, if applicable.
