Reporting to the Assistant Director, Specialty, Digital & Global Event, the Sr. Planner, Digital Meetings & Events is responsible for supporting the planning and execution of ACS’ digital meetings & events, including the spring and fall meetings, specialty meetings and events, and regional meetings. This individual will be the lead POC for these types of events and will work in concert with the head planner for any hybrid events, to provide a sooth planning and execution experience for all stakeholders. This individual will leverage experience with meeting planning, audio visual production, site selection and program development to provide the attendees with a memorable experience aligned to the overarching event experience strategy. 

 

  • Serves as digital event lead for virtual event production to include vetting and developing virtual event platforms for digital events, creating schedules, and run of show flows.
  • Gather technical requirements and conduct pre-event testing and configuration on digital platforms. Work directly with platform provider on the site development and layout.
  • Work with vendors to provide accurate budget estimates, track expenses to adhere to budgeted guidelines.
  • Provide lead planning, development, and coordination support for all digital meetings and events (approximately 8 events annually).
  • Proactively manage timeline for event deliverables.
  • Review and consolidate virtual event content provided by presiders and presenters.
  • Coordinate and oversee presentations pre-record and delivery.
  • Develop and execute the processes and documentation necessary to effectively market and produce each event in a high-quality and engaging manner.
  • Work to develop appropriate training material for vendors, staff, attendees, presenters, and presiders.
  • Work with all stakeholders in a collaborative manner to produce and execute successful events.
  • Provide support during events and possible in-person onsite execution of events.
  • Ability to use post event data to share with stakeholders and allow for continuous improve to future events.
  • Respond to general department inquiries.

 


Job Requirements

  • Travel up to 25% of the year
  • Demonstrated experience producing events in a virtual and hybrid space
  • Ability to work nights and weekends for successful execution of events
  • Experience with multiple virtual event vendors
  •  Digital Event certification preferred 
  • Must be in the DC Metro area
